Privacy Policy

1.  General notes

By publishing this Privacy Policy, our association wants to inform the public about the type, scope and purpose of the personal data that we collect, use and process. Furthermore, this Privacy Policy provides you with information about the rights to which you are entitled. We treat your personal data as confidential, in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and also this Privacy Policy. When we process your personal data, e.g. your name, postal address, email address and phone number, we always do so in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation and any applicable national data protection provisions.

2. Legal basis and technical and organisational measures

The legal basis for the various processing operations is GDPR Article 6 (1) point a.

In its role as the controller, Composites Germany has implemented numerous technical and organisational measures to guarantee the highest possible level of protection for the personal data it processes. However, internet-based data transmission can always be subject to security gaps, so that it is not possible to warrant absolute protection.

To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.

Further notes

  1. Cookies
  2. Analysis tools
  3. Browser plug-in

Composites Germany uses cookies on its website. Cookies are text files that are saved and stored on a computer system via an internet browser. Cookies do not harm your computer, nor do they contain viruses. Rather, they serve to make our website more user-friendly, efficient and secure. Most of the cookies we use are so-called session cookies which are automatically deleted after you leave our site. Other cookies remain on your device until you delete them. Those cookies allow us to recognise your browser next time you visit the website.

You can always prevent our website from saving cookies by making the relevant settings in your web browser. This has the effect of permanently preventing cookies from being set. Also, any cookies that have already been set can be deleted via a web browser or other software applications at any time. This can be done in all the common web browsers. Once you have prevented the setting of cookies in your web browser, you may not be able to use all the functions of our website to their full extent.

Cookies which are necessary to allow electronic communications or to provide certain functions you wish to use (such as the shopping cart) are set on the basis of GDPR Article 6 (1) point f. As website owners, we have a legitimate interest in storing cookies to avoid technical errors and to ensure the optimal delivery of our services. If other cookies (such as those used to analyse your surfing behaviour) are also stored, they will be treated separately in this privacy policy.

Google Analytics

AVK has embedded Google Analytics as a component on its website. Google Analytics is a web analysis service. Web analysis is the collection and analysis of data concerning the behaviour of site visitors. Among other things, we collect data that tell us the website from which a person has accessed our site (a so-called referrer), which pages of our website have been accessed and how often and for how long a page has been viewed. Google Analytics uses so-called cookies. These are text files that are saved to your computer and which permit an analysis of site use. The information that is created by cookies about your use of our website is usually sent to a Google server in the United States, where it is then stored.

Google Analytics cookies are stored on the basis of GDPR Article 6 (1) point f. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising.

The operator of the Google Analytics component is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA.

You have the option of preventing the storage of cookies through suitable settings in your browser software; please note, however, that this may prevent you from using all the functions of this website to their full potential. Furthermore, if you don’t want Google to generate and process cookies about your site use (incl. your IP address), you can prevent this by downloading and installing a browser plug-in from the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

This browser add-on informs Google Analytics via JavaScript that no data and information on visits to websites may be transmitted to Google Analytics. Installation of the browser add-on is regarded by Google as an objection. Additional information and Google’s latest valid privacy policy can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy and at https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/us.html. Google Analytics is explained in more detail at https://www.google.com/analytics/#?modal_active=none
