The working group „Standards and Standardisation“ supports and promotes the use of standardisation in the composites industry in order to ensure quality assurance and improvement. Many people associate with the term „standardisation“ lengthy and complicated procedures at excessive costs, therefore standards are not yet very dissiminated in the composites industry.

But there are definite advantages which pay off for companies when they decide to implement and set standards for a given product or process. Benefits are for example the use of standards for your professional exchange or competitive advantages at a reasonable price. The group teamed up with Germany´s DIN Instituteand offers a support to companies through every step in the process. Composites Germany supports companies within the entire composites industry in their projects in this field, from the original idea to the actual implementation of the standardisation project. This also includes addressing and answering questions on the procedure for DIN SPEC and the development of standards. We would be pleased to support you with your research for comparable, existing standards, partners for the common development of standards, appropriate DIN-committees and contact persons. We will also happily advise you regarding your needs assessments and partner research for carrying out comparative tests.
